A freezer full of premium, hand-cut pork—convenient, flavorful, and raised right here in NW Illinois. With a Pork Share, you’ll have high-quality bacon, chops, roasts, and sausage on hand, ensuring mealtime is simple and delicious.
Every share is custom-cut to your preferences and processed with care, so you get exactly what you want. This reservation secures your order for December 2025 or January 2026 and will be applied to your final total. - At checkout, please leave a note with your preferred month!
What’s My Total?
Final cost is based on the actual hanging weight after butchering, plus processing fee. Prices vary slightly based on the final weight of your share.
Estimated Weights & Costs:
✅ Whole Hog (8 cu. ft. freezer needed)
• Avg. 200 lbs hanging weight → Approx. 130-140 lbs of meat
• Estimated final cost: $730 ($380 meat + $350 processing)
✅ Half Hog (4 cu. ft. freezer needed)
• Avg. 100 lbs hanging weight → Approx. 65-75 lbs of meat
• Estimated final cost: $375 ($200 meat + $175 processing)

A half hog typically includes:

Once your hog is delivered to the butcher, we’ll notify you so you can provide your personal cutting instructions. (Check out the Cut Sheet photo for options!)
Within 2-3 weeks, you’ll have a freezer stocked with incredible farm-raised pork, ready for breakfast, BBQs, dinners and every meal in between.

We have not yet picked up our shares. We live in Florida and miss our Midwest beef and pork. We have ordered a side of beef and whole hog. Krogmans have been so helpful to make this work for us. Not often you drive 1300 miles to get meat but with as many friends and family that have purchased thru Krogmans we know we made the right choice.
If you’ve been wondering if you should buy local meat in bulk, stop thinking about it and just do it! You’ll be so happy you did! Krogmans meats is exceptional quality at a fraction of the cost of buying less than quality meat at a grocery store. This was our first half hog from them and we are very happy with the quality and taste, and we actually have more meat than we anticipated. I am so happy they butcher with AJ’s Lena Maid Meats, they are one of the very best and cleanest processors around as well as some of the best brat, bacon & sausage recipes!

The meat always so good and fresh. The butcher Krogman's Meats use is very helpful and the sausages are always so tasty. We have gotten a half cow and half hog from them and have been very pleased with both.
